DVD Engineering Services
Description
DVD
Established in 2000 by Dion van Dyk, the business began as EMS cc, following Dion’s determination to pursue his entrepreneurial ambitions after being retrenched. His vision and commitment laid the foundation for a company that would continue to grow and develop into an established employment services provider in the Northern Cape.
In 2001, Lyn van Dyk joined the business to support its rapid growth and contribute to the continued development of the company. In 2003, EMS cc was converted into a private company in preparation for future shareholding and expansion, and the business adopted its current name, DVD Engineering Services (Pty) Ltd.
DVD Engineering Services has also maintained a strong commitment to Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) and meaningful transformation. Following the implementation of the B-BBEE Act of 2003, the company took an early step towards transformation by establishing the DVD Employee Trust, which acquired a 26% shareholding in the business.
The company’s commitment to developing people is further demonstrated by the inspiring career progression of Director Kamogelo Edith Chere. Kamogelo joined DVD Engineering Services in July 2010 as a cleaner. Recognising her potential, the company promoted her to Office Administrator shortly afterwards. Through dedication, development and experience, she progressed into the role of Temporary Employment Services Manager and ultimately became a Director with a 25% shareholding in the company.
Today, DVD Engineering Services continues to build on its history of entrepreneurship, employment creation, transformation and professional service delivery. The company works with clients throughout the Northern Cape, providing workforce and employment services designed to meet diverse operational and staffing requirements.
For businesses seeking a dependable employment services company in Kuruman and the Northern Cape, DVD Engineering Services offers experience, local knowledge and a people-focused approach. The company remains committed to creating opportunities, supporting its clients and developing individuals while contributing positively to the local economy and broader South African business community.
